📖 Instructions

  1. Grind Your Coffee (Optional): If you're starting with whole beans, grind them to a fine or espresso grind. A burr grinder is best for consistent results, but a blade grinder will also do the trick. I love the aroma of freshly ground coffee—it just elevates the whole experience!
  2. Pull Your Espresso Shot(s): Using your espresso machine, pull one or two shots of espresso into a small cup or shot glass. Aim for about 1-2 ounces of rich, concentrated espresso. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use a Moka pot or a strong brew from your coffee maker as a substitute. The key is to have a strong coffee base.
  3. Prepare Your Milk: Froth your milk using a milk frother or the steam wand on your espresso machine. If you don't have either of these, you can shake the milk vigorously in a jar until it becomes frothy. For a cold foam, try using a handheld milk frother directly in a glass of cold milk. It works like a charm! If you desire more foam, you can add a little bit of powder milk
  4. Sweeten (Optional): If you like your iced caffè latte on the sweeter side, add simple syrup or your sweetener of choice to the warm espresso. Start with about 1/2 to 1 tablespoon and adjust to taste. I find that a touch of sweetness really balances the bitterness of the coffee.
  5. Assemble Your Drink: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour the sweetened espresso over the ice. Slowly pour the cold milk over the espresso, leaving some room at the top for the milk foam. Be careful not to add to much
  6. Top with Milk Foam: Spoon the frothed milk over the top of the drink. You can also gently pour the frothed milk if you prefer a more layered look. For an extra touch, dust the top with cocoa powder or cinnamon. This step is what makes it a true work of art!
  7. Stir and Enjoy: Give your iced caffè latte a gentle stir to combine the flavors. Take a sip and savor the creamy, caffeinated goodness. Ahhh, that's the perfect pick-me-up!

📝 Notes
