Okay, so OneNote wasn't exclusive to Windows Phone, but it was fantastically integrated on the OS. This thing is the ultimate digital notebook. I used it for everything. Meeting notes, project brainstorming, even grocery lists (don't judge!).
My Tip: Use OneNote for every project you're juggling. You'll thank me later. And yes, it is still super relevant today!

Let's be honest, mobile email was a challenge back in the Windows Phone days. But Outlook Mobile, with its sleek interface (for the time) and decent sync capabilities, made it bearable. We've come a long way since then. Remember how the email app used to crash randomly? Good times. It wasn't perfect, not by a long shot, but it worked for the most part.

Remember having to work from anywhere? This was my savior. Documents To Go let you edit and view Microsoft Office documents on your Windows Phone. This is what got me through those late nights at airports or client meetings. It wasn't as sophisticated as its modern counterparts, it still did the job; you could still get the work done.

While I was a OneNote loyalist, Evernote was a solid alternative—especially handy for clipping articles and web pages. It still exists today and it's still useful. It's like a virtual filing cabinet for all your important digital stuff and you could search, find, and organize it well.

Skype was the go-to for video calls back in the day. It wasn't always perfect—video quality could be iffy, especially on spotty internet connections—but it was the best option. It was a bit quirky, but I'm sure many people remember the good old days.

Windows Phone may be a relic of the past, but these apps highlight some enduring principles of effective mobile productivity. The emphasis on simplicity, cross-platform compatibility, and core functionality still matters today. In a world of ever-expanding app stores, sometimes it's easy to lose sight of the core essentials. Which app is most important to you? Let me know in the comments!
