Hey everyone! Alex here. I recently had the awesome (and slightly stressful!) opportunity to test both the GoPro Hero 11 Mini and the GoPro Hero 10 Black back-to-back. Let me tell you, choosing between these two wasn't easy! I've been a GoPro enthusiast for years; I remember getting my first one for my 21st birthday – a blurry, amazing video of me bungee jumping. And now, these newer models? Incredible. Let's dive into my personal experience comparing these bad boys.
Choosing between these two depends heavily on your priorities and how you plan to use the camera, so let's find out which one's right for you. (I'm really excited to share this with you!)

The GoPro Hero 11 Mini is, well, mini. Its smaller size is seriously its biggest selling point. It's so much easier to slip into a pocket or mount on a helmet without feeling like you're carrying a brick. But it's tiny – maybe too tiny for some. The Hero 10 Black is larger and offers a slightly better grip, although it is still fairly compact. If you're all about portability and want something you can easily carry around, the Mini wins; but if you prefer a more substantial camera in your hand, the Hero 10 wins.

Both cameras produce stunning footage. Seriously, both are seriously amazing! Both cameras offer HyperSmooth video stabilization (so smooth!). But, I noticed subtle differences. The Hero 10 Black seemed to capture slightly brighter images in low light, which is amazing. However, the 11 Mini's color rendition was, in my opinion, ever so slightly more vibrant, at least in my tests. It's nitpicky, but I thought it was worth mentioning. In terms of resolution and detail, they're practically neck and neck.

Here's where things get interesting. The Hero 10 Black has a touchscreen, which is super handy for framing shots and reviewing footage on the go. The Hero 11 Mini, being smaller, naturally doesn't have one. You control it through voice commands or the GoPro app. The lack of a screen might feel limiting at first, but once you get used to the other methods of control, it is much easier to use in my opinion! The Hero 10 also boasts slightly better battery life. However, the Hero 11 Mini's size advantage more than makes up for it for many. It’s all about what you prefer and how you use it!

The Hero 11 Mini is generally cheaper than the Hero 10 Black. Given that the difference in image quality is pretty minimal, this makes the Mini a more attractive option for budget-conscious adventurers – or those who just dont need a screen. However, if you absolutely need the additional features of the Hero 10 Black, the price is justifiable.

Ultimately, there's no clear winner. The best GoPro for you depends on your individual needs and preferences.
I'd suggest watching some sample footage from both cameras on YouTube to see which visual style better suits your taste. The difference is small but still notable. I hope this helps and let me know what you decide!
